ASA Analytics introduces new low cost ortho-phosphorous analyzer

December 2009 - ASA Analytics introduces the ChemScan® mini oP analyzer, a new low cost process analyzer for ortho-Phosphorous analysis. Analysis of ortho-Phosphorous offers substantial benefits for plant operators, including the information needed to improve plant efficiency, reduce energy consumption and minimize chemical costs. Major applications include feed control for chemical Phosphorous removal in wastewater and regulation of corrosion control chemicals in drinking water.

The new ChemScan® mini oP analyzer builds on proven ChemScan technology including flow paths designed to avoid plugging by use of large orifice sizes, compared to the capillary tubes and needle valves typical in most other analyzers. The ChemScan® mini oP analyzer can operate for three months between reagent addition and any analyzer component can be replaced in less than five minutes. Sample blank analysis on every cycle simplifies setup and eliminates the need for calibration standards or reference solutions. This new, single-sample-line, single-parameter analyzer brings affordable ortho-Phosphorus monitoring to every plant.

ASA Analytics is a privately held company located in Waukesha, Wisconsin that has been designing and manufacturing light absorptive process analyzers since 1995. ASA Analytics manufactures ChemScan automatic on-line process analyzers for analysis of nutrients, organics, halogens, dissolved metals and optical parameters in water and wastewater. ChemScan is a registered trademark of ASA Analytics.
